Protected Trust Services is supporting TravelBank Holidays homeworkers with forward bookings after launching an internal investigation into the business.

Glasgow-based TravelBank, a PTS member, was launched by Lloyd Ingram during the pandemic in 2020 and he hit the headlines in May 2022 when he put together two sell-out charters to the UEFA Europa League Final.

PTS Executive Director Emma Collins said: “The investigation is ongoing but the majority of TravelBank bookings had been made by homeworkers and they are continuing to manage these bookings, with the support of PTS.”

The spokesperson said PTS had been unable to contact Lloyd, who had not responded to its messages. The TravelBank website is no longer live.

“All customers have been contacted and informed of the situation,” they added. TravelBank remains a member of PTS to allow its homeworkers to manage existing bookings.

Lloyd, who previously worked for banks including Natwest and RBS, told Travel Gossip he had decided to stop trading at the end of 2023 ‘due to personal reasons’.

He said he had orchestrated an ‘organised closure’ and provided ‘other ways’ for its homeworkers to operate and that he was unaware of any investigation into his business.

“I took a business decision to cease trading for personal reasons, all bookings are being honoured, and I have been in contact with PTS,” he said. “Ultimately I would like to trade again in the future, I just needed to take some time out.”
