Disney is insisting that all guests aged 18 and over on its UK cruises must be fully vaccinated against COVID 19.

The cruise line said adult passengers must have received their final dose at least seven days prior to the cruise.

It said it will contact passengers prior to sailing with instructions on how to show proof of their vaccination status.

UK Transport Secretary Grant Shapps said this week that the NHS app used to book appointments will eventually be adapted to include details of COVID vaccines, but he hasn’t said when it will be ready.

Disney Magic will offer a series of two, three and four-night cruises from Liverpool, Southampton, Newcastle and London Tilbury from 15 July.

Guests under 18 years will have to provide proof of a negative COVID test taken five days to 24 hours before boarding.

Disney said it has secured a discounted rate through a third-party provider for PCR tests.

All guests will also be required to take an antigen test, at Disney’s expense, in the terminal prior to boarding.

In addition, everyone over 11 years old will have to wear a face mask when moving around the ship.
