Majorca and Crete are the two most popular holiday destinations for this coming Bank Holiday weekend, according to ABTA.
It says these are closely followed by Croatia, Malta, Rhodes and Cyprus.
All are on the amber list except Malta, which is green, and Croatia, which is on the green watchlist.
ABTA is trying to boost last-minute bookings, reminding holidaymakers that ‘it’s not too late to book an overseas break this summer’ in a press release issued today.
It said a seven-night self-catering holiday in Crete, departing tomorrow, costs from just £253 per person while a three-night break to Majorca costs from £242.
ABTA is providing updated advice and information for holidaymakers travelling abroad at abta.com/readysteadytravel, including a blog on testing for travel and an FAQ page to answer the most common questions about travelling during the pandemic.
