European river cruise operator VIVA Cruises is to sell through Gold Medal sister brand Cruise Plus.

The new agreement means agents will be able to book VIVA through the Cruise Plus contact centre.

VIVA, owned by a Swiss shipping company, operates eight ships on major European rivers. A new ship VIVA Enjoy will launch at the end of this year. 

VIVA CEO Andrea Kruse said: “This collaboration with Cruise Plus marks an exciting chapter for VIVA Cruises. 

“By integrating our itineraries into the Cruise Plus platform, VIVA Cruises is expanding its reach and providing travel agents with a new premium river cruise experience for their customers.”

Cruise Plus Head of Specialist Product Mark Henderson said the company was ‘streamlining’ the booking process for agents.
