TUI Airways says food will now be served on all flights after earlier advising short- and mid-haul passengers due to fly in the next few days that the service would not be available.

The airline blamed staff shortages at its catering supplier for being unable to provide meals on most flights, adding it would only be able to serve limited snacks.

Tonight, TUI has updated its advice to say the situation has been resolved.

A message on its website has been updated to say: “We can confirm that the issue has now been resolved and the catering offer onboard our flights will resume as normal from tomorrow. 

“We know how much our customers value the ability to purchase food and drinks onboard and we thank them for their patience and understanding.”
