The easing of travel restrictions has created a flood of job opportunities at Manchester Airport Group in a welcome boost for the aviation sector.

More than 1,000 positions are available, the airport said, as consumers begin to take to the air.

The industry received another huge boost this morning with France finally lifting restrictions for Brits.

Jobs are available at all three MAG’s airports – Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands – with security officers, customer service officers, car park staff, hospitality and lounge workers all required.

All three airports said the strong recovery in October and November slowed when restrictions were reintroduced to tackle the Omicron variant, but have now improved again.

MAG chief people officer Cath Bailey said: “It’s great that our passengers have more freedom to fly, as the aviation industry resumes on its road to recovery. We always knew the sector would quickly bounce back with the easing of travel restrictions, which were relaxed this weekend.

“This means we now have hundreds of fantastic, interesting roles available to suit a wide range of people with different experience, skills and backgrounds. We encourage applications from individuals with great people skills, ambition and enthusiasm.”
