Airlines will launch six more services from London’s Heathrow this summer season, starting with Virgin Atlantic’s new flight to Bangalore in India on Sunday, 31 March.

On 7 April, British Airways’ sister airline Vueling will launch flights to Barcelona as well as to Paris Orly, which hasn’t been served from Heathrow since 2017. The new Paris flights will launch in time for the start of the Paris Olympic Games on 26 July.

British Airways will start flying from Heathrow to Abu Dhabi on 20 April, while on 18 May it will bring back flights from Heathrow to both Kos in Greece and Izmir in Turkey, which haven’t been served from the London airport since 2022 and 2019 respectively.

Heathrow Chief Commercial Officer Ross Baker said: “We are delighted to see six new airline routes commencing at Heathrow this summer season. Last year, we served 79 million passengers, and we expect to serve more travellers with a record breaking 2024.”
