Introduction to Podcasting

Are you thinking about starting a travel podcast? How do you start one? What do you need to think about? In this introductory session, we’ll identify your reasons for a podcast, who your audience is, working out your topic/theme, creating your podcast brand, and how to outline your first episode.

It will also cover what equipment and recording software you might need to record your podcasts. This practical introductory session, aimed at anyone thinking about starting one, will be presented by journalist and podcaster Portia Jones, host of the Travel Goals Podcast, and head of podcasting at audio production company South Girl Production Music, and there will be a Q&A afterwards.

This is a BGTW Talks Travel event on Friday 17th June at 12.45pm-1.45pm and will be followed by a panel discussion: “BGTW Talks Travel: How can a podcast help your destination, travel company or brand?” at 2pm-3pm. We hope you can join.
