Passengers arriving into the UK now have the option to pick up lateral flow tests at a number of airports under a new click and collect option introduced by a COVID test provider.

Cignpost ExpressTest, the company behind the move, said it will eliminate the need for tests to be sent to hotels or temporary addresses.

Tests, which cost £19,99, can be ordered and picked up from Heathrow’s T2, T3 and T5 terminals and at Gatwick, Birmingham and Edinburgh airports.

Cignpost ExpressTest Chief Executive Christian Corney said: “Since the Government has made lateral flow tests mandatory for everyone arriving into the UK, we have looked at how we can make the testing process easy at every level.

“There’s a £1,000 fine for anyone who misses the two-day deadline to complete their test, so launching a Click & Collect option gives international travellers the reassurance that they’ve met their COVID testing requirement, rather than worrying about whether their tests have arrived at the hotel or guesthouse they are staying in.”
