Palladium is eyeing other Spanish destinations for its luxury hotel brand TRS, which will expand into Ibiza next year.
It will be the first adult-only, all-inclusive five star hotel on the island, according to Sergio Zertuche, Palladium’s Chief Sales and Marketing Officer.
TRS was developed in the Caribbean and Ibiza will be its fifth hotel – and the first in Europe.
Mr Zertuche said the chain was looking for additional locations, including Marbella and Tenerife.
“I do believe TRS is going to be tremendously successful and we are more than open to expanding the brand in Europe,” he said.
“We are actively looking for opportunities for existing properties in these destinations to convert to TRS.”
TRS Ibiza will offer butler services, a beach club, spa, a la carte restaurants including a steakhouse, and a Gravity rooftop bar.
Aimed at ‘sophisticated 30 to 60 year olds’, Mr Zertuche described TRS as a lifestyle hotel for ‘clients who want to be pampered’.
“We are targeting the sort of people who would stay at the W,” he added.
TRS Ibiza, which will open next spring or summer, will be featured by a number of UK operators, including TUI and easyJet holidays, and also online travel agents.
Mr Zertuche said he was hoping to organise fam trips to take agents to TRS properties in the Caribbean in January so they can familiarise themselves with the brand ahead of the opening of TRS Ibiza.
In the meantime, Palladium has training events for agents across the UK this month, with the schedule as follows:

The format is a training presentation on the new hotel, followed by either brunch/lunch/afternoon tea or dinner.
Agents will then receive a pin badge to confirm they are a TRS Ambassador and be entered into a draw to win a one-night stay at TRS Ibiza Hotel in June 2022.
In addition, everyone who attends the event could win a one-night stay for every two bookings they make, to be used in June 2022.
