Jet2 is launching city breaks to Funchal on the Portuguese island of Madeira this coming winter.

Available from 1 November, Jet2CityBreaks will offer packages to a range of three- to five-star hotels from nine UK airports for winter 2021/22 and summer 2022.

Jet2 already offers flights and holidays to the island.

CEO Steve Heapy said the launch was in response to ‘huge demand’ for winter 21/22 and summer 22 holidays.

Nuno Vale, Executive Director of Madeira Promotion Bureau said: “We are delighted to see Funchal joining the Jet2Citybreaks portfolio.

“Funchal with its great climate all year round, and cultural and lifestyle vibe, is a perfect escape for a short break.”

City break packages will be available from Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle.
