Carrie Day is leaving her job as Industry Sales Manager for Intrepid Travel after four years.

Announcing the move on the operator’s Intrepid Loves Agents Facebook page, Intrepid Travel Partnerships Manager Matt Eadie said Carrie is to join Ireland’s Travel Trade Network (ITTN) as Business Development Manager.

Matt said: “Carrie has been a valued member of the industry team, our social media guru and a legend to all Intrepid staff and our travel agent partners – we are going to miss her lots and we know you will too.

“But there couldn’t be a bigger ambassador for the travel sector in Ireland so I am sure you will join us in congratulating Carrie and wishing her all the best in her new role.”

ITTN Managing Director Sharon Jordan said: “Since joining the travel industry, Carrie quickly became ‘one to watch’ within the market and I personally have been impressed with her work ethic during our time together as committee members of the ITAA Benevolent fund.”

Carrie said: “I’m over the moon to be joining the ITTN team but it is a very bittersweet move for me.

“Everyone who knows me knows how much I love Intrepid and it has been an honour and privilege to represent the company over the last four years.

“To all the agents I’ve had the pleasure of meeting at events and conferences, through Facebook messages and on fams, it’s been great getting to know you all and I have no doubt our paths will cross again.”

Carrie’s last day will be 15 July and Intrepid is looking for two new Partnership Managers to join the team.
