2020 has been a devastating year for our industry – will 2021 be better and, if so, how?
Throughout the year the Tourism Society has been running a series of Think Tanks featuring leading industry figures. To end the year, we have put together a programme which we hope will be both provocative and informative. The Think Tanks will kick off with Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester, followed by Nick De Bois, Chair of Visit England, and finally Lord John Thurso, President of the Tourism Society.
On 16 December, 2-3 pm, our President, Lord Thurso will sum up the year, reflect on the first two decades of the 21st Century and look to the future, inviting members and guests to give their predictions for 2021. Hopefully, there will be time for a glass of wine and a mince pie too.

You can buy a ticket to just this event, or a combined ticket for the full programme.
As it is the festive season we are asking for a charitable donation of £25 for all three events or £10 for one event for members, and £45 for all three events and £25 for one event for non-members. If you are not a Tourism Society member and sign up to the Tourism Society now you will save £20 on tickets and get the month of December for free in your membership as our festive gift! Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more details or visit our website https://www.thetourismsociety.com/
The money we raise will be shared between the Tourism Society, the Tourism Society Benevolent Fund, and The Mayor’s Charity which helps the homeless in Greater Manchester. So please be generous and support these events. Maybe even gift them to someone else who might enjoy them!
