Holiday Extras is known for providing its travel agent partners with great incentives and this summer is no exception with the launch of its latest promotion, Boost your Basket.
Each week, one lucky agent will win £300 of shopping vouchers for a supermarket of their choice to help with their weekly grocery shop.
The promotion runs until 11 September – and there will be a little extra surprise in the final week!
Holiday Extras National Retail Manager Lindsay Garvey-Jones said the latest promotion had been specifically designed to ‘recognise the hard work and graft agents have done over the past two years, working to help customers solve problems and get away on holiday’.
She added: “Many of them are single parents, work part time, may have two jobs or more, many are back from furlough or have come back into the industry and still find it a challenge financially, so we are here to help as much as we can and tailor the incentive and let them boost their baskets at the supermarket too.”
How can you enter the Boost your Basket promotion?
All you have to do is make two Holiday Extras bookings for the same customer and enter both references on the entry form on the Holiday Extras agent website.
Holiday Extras sells everything from airport parking to hotels to fast-track passes and lounge access.
Winners of the Boost your Basket promotion will be announced weekly on the Holiday Extras Agents Hub on Facebook. One lucky agent has already received £300 of vouchers and there are many more chances to win.
Remember, you have until 11 September and there’s no limit on the number of times you can enter, you just need to make two Holiday Extras bookings for the same customer for each entry.
So that you gain as many entries as possible, here are Lindsay’s 7 top tips to help you sell more Holiday Extras:
- Let customers know they can save money by booking their airport extras as early as possible, preferably when they book their holiday, rather than leaving it to the last minute when their preferred option might no longer be available.
- You can often save them money by offering parking and hotel packages with Holiday Extras rather than booking them separately.
- Promote fast track security passes as a way for customers to gain more time in duty-free.
- If customers are considering the luxury of an airport lounge (who isn’t?), suggest they book early to secure their first preference.
- Booking cruise customers into an overseas lounge before their return flight will make them feel like a VIP and keep the post-cruise comedown at bay!
- For those with an early morning flight, spending the night before at an airport hotel will ease their stress and give them a more leisurely start to their holiday.
- You might want to consider giving away or offering Holiday Extras’ products at a discount as an alternative to discounting the holiday, that way you add value for the customer while saving your commission for yourself.
