The ultra-inclusive MarBella Corfu, a long-standing family favourite, will become the first and only five-star hotel in Corfu to open its own water park this summer.

Called ‘Anemelia’, which means ‘carefree’, the onsite water park will feature eight slides, a new infinity pool, a whirlpool and a food truck serving ice creams, juices and snacks.

Opening early May and available free of charge to MarBella Corfu guests, it will cater for children of all ages, from babies to teenagers.

The water park is the latest addition to the luxury hotel’s family-friendly facilities, which also include a kids’ club for children from the age of four months so parents can relax knowing their little ones are being looked after in a UK-standard creche.

Also brand new is an eco-minded kids’ club, Grasshoppers, offering a range of activities, developed by one of the world’s leading designers of children’s clubs, Worldwide Kids.

Not only that, but in early May the hotel will also open two new `a la carte restaurants, Celeste with French Provençale cuisine, and pan-Asian Kum Kuat, both serving dishes created by internationally renowned chef Yannis Kioroglou.

The new restaurants compliment the hotel’s existing range of culinary experiences, which include cooking lessons and wine tasting throughout the season.

Accommodation options at the MarBella Corfu include doubles, family rooms – some of which can sleep up to six – and luxury suites with private pools.

The hotel is conveniently located in Agios Ioannis Peristeron on Corfu’s southeast coast, less than 30 minutes from Corfu Old Town and the international airport.

Learn more about MarBella Collection

First established more than 50 years ago, the boutique MarBella Collection includes the adult-only MarBella Nido on Corfu’s south coast and, since 2021, the MarBella Elix, near Parga on Greece’s stunning west coast.

Together, the three ultra-inclusive hotels, each with its unique characteristics, cater for guests as they migrate through the different stages of life, from couples to families to empty-nesters.

They are featured by the top UK operators to Greece, including British Airways Holidays, TUI and Jet2holidays, as well as many high-end specialists, but you can also book them independently.

To find out more, you can sign up to one of MarBella’s webinars, and from the end of April it is planning to take UK travel agents on twin-centre fam trips so they can experience a couple of the hotels for themselves.

Expansion plans

MarBella is planning to expand its collection further with two new accommodation options in the pipeline.

It is building a new 80-room beachfront boutique property, close to MarBella Corfu, and a small villa complex near MarBella Elix on the Greek mainland, both of which are scheduled to open by 2024.
