Latin Routes is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year with an exciting competition for its travel agent partners.

You only need to make a single booking from its Latin Routes or Polar Routes brands to enter and be in with a chance of winning a glamorous night out in London.

Bookings worth at least £10k will qualify you for an additional competition entry, while any bookings worth £20k or more will get a double entry.

Latin Routes Business Development Manager UK & Ireland Gaynor Atherton will ‘spin the wheel’ live on the Latin Routes Agents Facebook page to choose one lucky winner every month.

The first spin takes place today at 4.30pm and then on the first Monday of every month up to November, so head over to its Facebook page to see if you’ll be joining Latin Routes in London.

In total, 10 agents will be invited to the capital for an overnight visit, which will include a glitzy dinner at a Latin American-themed restaurant, plus drinks and accommodation.

It will be held during the first week of December 2022, with the exact date to be confirmed.

“We’re really excited to be able to get together with agents and treat them to a swanky night out,” said Gaynor.

How it all started

Latin Routes was founded 10 years ago by Jess Dennison (then Bain) Martin Johnson in Wimbledon Village Hall in 2012, selling trips to a bunch of family and friends.

“From the two of us selling holidays to South America from our shoebox office above a pizza shop, we embarked upon an exciting rollercoaster journey which has brought us to where we are now with an incredible team of over 25 staff and a lovely office with no pizza fumes wafting through the window!” said Jess.

She said launching to the trade in 2016 ‘had a huge positive impact on the business’, and agents now account for more than half of all Latin Routes’ bookings.

“As a result, we have some fantastic agent partners and would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your loyalty and business over the years- we hope that our knowledge and passion of the destinations we sell has enabled many of your clients to explore Latin America and fall in love with the continent

“Reflecting on the last 10 years makes us realise that we have packed a lot in! Some of our top highlights are the Academy which we hosted in Rio de Janeiro in 2018, a number of fam trips to Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Peru, our BBQ roadshows and various training events which we have put on all over the UK, our Top Agents Dinner hosted at The Shard [in London], and our Christmas Appeal during the pandemic to support our industry colleagues.”

Winning Small Tour Operator of the Year in 2021 was a particularly proud moment for Latin Routes, added Jess.

“To be recognised for all the hard work, particularly during the last two years meant a huge amount to us and it was an award that we aspired to win for many years.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our team, without whom we would not have got to where we are now. A special mention to Gaynor Atherton our BDM who works tirelessly to promote Latin Routes and Polar Routes with a great passion for what she does.

“Cheers to the next 10 years, we look forward to many more years working with our existing and new trade partners.”
