Western Australia is fully open to international visitors and with the direct London to Perth flight returning earlier than expected, Tourism Western Australia is bringing back its popular roadshow events – and participating agents could win a place a fam trip.

The Western Australia Roadshow will be back this June, supported by Singapore Airlines, and will be the first in-person Western Australia roadshow since 2018.

Three in-person and one virtual event have been organised and joining each roadshow will be 20 key operators and destination experts from Western Australia who’ll be sharing ideas, unique selling points and the latest updates.

Each event will also include a presentation from Singapore Airlines and everyone who attends will have the chance to win a place on a 10-person fam trip to Western Australia.

What’s new in Western Australia

Western Australia operators have been busy updating and introducing new products. Here is a snapshot of what agents can expect to hear from the operators attending the roadshow:

Seafood lovers

Longreach Bay at sunset, Rottnest Island

Sea West has launched a new cruise at Perth’s Rottnest Island – the Luxe Island Seafood Cruise. The new luxury experience showcases the island’s stunning views and fresh seafood as part of a deluxe dining experience on the water. The new half day, all-inclusive tour onboard a custom-built charter boat, offers a seven-course menu showcasing local produce, cocktails and premium beverages. Participants can catch Western Rock lobster; swim, snorkel or float on mats in one of the islands many sheltered bays. Packages offer return ferry transfers to the island from either Fremantle, Hillarys or Perth.

Escorted Tours

Two Feet and a Heartbeat is a Perth-based experiential tourism provider specialising in fully escorted tours. From themed walking tours and progressive dinners, to private cruises and luxurious air safaris, clients get a unique perspective on the landscapes, people, culture, food, history and arts of Western Australia. Local guides design and deliver creative and unique itineraries to accommodate any group size in Perth and Western Australia. Latest additions include a Fromage tour for cheese fans and a World of Whiskey tour.

Luxury stays

Ningaloo Reef

Journey Beyond, which owns and operates experiential brands that bring Western Australia’s unique and iconic experiences to life, has upgraded some of its accommodation offerings.

Luxury eco-retreat Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef has a new lodge area featuring local art, new beach furniture and pathways; and new luxury vehicles and golf buggies for guest transfers. Located in Cape Range National Park, and with easy access to Ningaloo Reef, the property comprises 15 wilderness tents offering views of the surrounding bush and beach.

Seaplane adventure

Horizontal Falls, Talbot Bay

Also owned by Journey Beyond, the Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures 24-hour tour gives a unique opportunity to marvel at the changing directional tides of this sideways waterfall in the Kimberley. Guests stay on a luxurious, newly refitted 16-guest house boat, and get the chance to marvel at nature’s most incredible creations with helicopter flights, numerous fast boat rides, a guided fishing charter and a relaxing cruise through the crystal blue water of Talbot Bay and the ancient rock formations of Cyclone Creek. Bookings can be made between June and August 2022.
