Trade-only accommodation-only provider Bookabed has launched an incentive for travel agents.

For every £1,000 of bookings, for any arrival date, agents receive a £5 Love2shop voucher.

The incentive will run until 30 May.

Agents also receive 15% commission on all bookings.

Best selling destinations so far this year include the Canaries, Algarve, Orlando, New York and Las Vegas, said Bookabed’s UK Country Manager Adam Knight.

“There was definitely a shift in January and February for more longhaul, but now its nearing summer the short- haul beach and city destinations have seen great demand,” he added.

“We have seen a shorter travel window where bookings are been made for travel within 12 weeks of travel, which is definitely shorter than pre-COVID.”

To receive their Love2shop vouchers, agents just need to log their arrivals each month with Adam at [email protected]

Vouchers can be redeemed at the end of each month for that month’s check-ins. Booking values can be combined, but XML bookings are excluded from the offer.

Bookabed also has plans to introduce new product to the UK market, following its purchase by TBO.

This includes its online training tool, the TBO Academy, and TBO+, its rewards loyalty scheme.

The bed bank said that it is seeing ‘excellent’ growth this year, with bookings regularly surpassing pre-pandemic levels.

Adam said the average booking value has increased across the board from all markets. “This positive booking trend is very optimistic,” he added.
