Forty agents joined Inghams Walking holidays on fam trips this summer to find out more about the operator’s revamped programme. Here’s what they discovered…
Back in April, Inghams renamed its summer programme Inghams Walking, to emphasise its ‘long walking heritage and expertise’.
The new programme celebrates the great outdoors, with an emphasis on flexibility and something for everyone – backed by the support and attention to detail the company has built up over its 85 years.
The Inghams Walking programme is all about ‘walking holidays done differently’, based in one (sometimes two) locations, with no fixed itinerary in some of the most beautiful parts of Europe.
Inghams offers clients the freedom to explore as much or as little of the local area on foot, whilst still enjoying everything else they love to do on their holidays, such as sightseeing, enjoying local food and drink, or just relaxing.
To see the product for themselves, 40 agents joined one of four fam trips with Inghams Walking – visiting Mayrhofen in Austria, Champoluc in Aosta Valley and Limone on Lake Garda – experiencing guided walks, e-biking trips, wild swims, city visits and tasty meals in stunning surroundings.
What the agents said…
“There’s far more to the mountains than skiing,” was how Vicky from Polka Dot Travel put it when asked to describe her fam trip with Inghams Walking this summer.
Carol from Designer Travel said: “It’s pushed me out of my comfort zone a little bit. As long as clients have a love for adventure and a decent level of fitness, they will absolutely love this area. It’s so beautiful and picturesque. A very worthwhile summer experience and destination.”
Agents said trip highlights included e-biking, ‘having a dip in the lake’, wine tasting and being ‘wowed by the local produce’ and enjoying a ‘peaceful retreat’.
And they were pleased to discover Inghams Walking was ‘fine for any ability’, with Wendy from Not Just Travel adding: “I’d highly recommend it to anybody that likes scenery and a bit of walking. We have seen loads in two days.”
“I’d recommend Inghams in a heartbeat,” said Jane from Spear Travel.
Here’s why Inghams Walking holidays hit the spot…

Wide choice
All Inghams Walking holidays are designed to allow plenty of time to enjoy the wonders of nature.

For clients who want something different, Inghams Walking holidays can help. For example, by recommending the perfect destination to try some wild swimming in the pure waters of an Austrian mountain lake.
