Wyndham has announced the soft opening of a new all-inclusive hotel in Barbados, which has been designed to boost the Caribbean island’s luxury offering.
The 422-room Wyndham Grand Barbados, Sam Lord’s Castle Resort & Spa is on the south-east coast of the island, set among tropical gardens just 15 minutes from the international airport.
Due to open within the next few weeks, the hotel will initially offer four dining outlets, a choice of swimming pools and selected watersports.
When it is fully open in January, it will have 10 restaurants, an expansive spa, six pools and a kids cub.
Owned by the Barbados Government and operated by Wyndham, the hotel will also boast a fitness centre, yoga centre, salon, tennis and pickleball facilities and watersports, while its indoor and outdoor meeting and event space for more than 800 guests will enable it to cater for meetings and weddings.
The dining outlets that will be available for the soft opening are The Mediterranean Market, offering international all-day dining, Castle view steak and seafood restaurant, Burnt Cask for casual dining, and Lantern Pool Bar for snacks and cocktails.
