MSC Cruises is expanding its family programme this summer, including a revised baby care service, extended kids’ club hours and new activities on board.

For the first time, the cruise line is offering a dedicated care service for babies as young as six months old. Previously its Baby Club Chicco (pictured) was for children over one.

Additionally, MSC will extend its kids’ club hours for 12-17 year olds, from 10am to 1pm and from 3pm to midnight on sea days, and 3pm to midnight on port days.

New activities for guests also include the ‘Doremiland Open House and Party’, where parents can join their children in the kids’ club at certain times, and two new family game shows – ‘World Quest’, a geography-based trivia game and ‘Caravaggio’, a spy game show dedicated to art.

Families will also have the opportunity to join MSC Foundation children’s activities, which will focus on sustainability initiatives and environmental topics.

MSC will also be adding Guinness World Record activities and quizzes to the following ships: MSC World Europa, MSC Euribia, MSC Seascape, MSC Seashore, MSC Magnifica, MSC Divina, MSC Meraviglia, MSC Virtuosa and MSC Grandiosa).

Corporate Senior Manager Kids Entertainment Matteo Mancini said: “We host more than 600,000 children and teenagers across our entire fleet every year, and we want to make sure every single one of them disembarks having had the best experience. That’s why it’s so important for us to continually listen to their feedback and follow entertainment trends.”
