InsideAsia has launched a new foodie-focused itinerary, Culinary Korea, to delve into the culinary traditions unique to the country.
Offering a mix of food, culture and adventure, the 13-night trip includes Seoul, Jeonju, Yeosu, Jeju Island and coastal Busan.
Senior South Korea Product Executive Rebecca Barry said: “This itinerary really is a culinary adventure like no other – with the perfect blend of hands-on cooking experiences, market visits and cultural immersion.
“When we set out to design this trip, we really wanted to showcase the diversity of South Korea, from hyper-modern Seoul to the jumbling alleyways of sea-front Busan, ultra-traditional Jeonju and into the more rural, mountainous side of the country.
“What may people don’t realise is that Korea is known for far more than its KBBQ and craft beer – it’s home to some of the world’s biggest markets serving up a range of local delicacies from the famous bibimbap rice bowl to fried pancake, fizzy rice wine, and so much more.”
The tour costs from £3,709 per person (excluding international flights), including all four-star level accommodation, a stay in a hanok (traditional Korean house), breakfast every day, all transport across Korea, some private guiding and a range of experiences including a wild tea experience at a temple in Yeosu, a cooking class in Busan and a street food tour in Seoul.
