The Iberostar Selection Creta Marine will open on 10 May after a two-year renovation to upgrade it to a five-star property.

The resort, located in Panormo in the north of Crete, has access to three beach coves and has been built to emulate the Cretan village it is neighboured by, with a mixture of brand new and refurbished airy rooms and sugar-cube style bungalows.

The 361 rooms range from sea-view doubles with balcony whirlpools to waterfront family bungalows and deluxe swim-up sea-view suites. The grounds have newly landscaped gardens, including native species as figs, jasmine and bougainvillea.

It has nine bars and restaurants, a new spa, water sports, volleyball, football and tennis as well as Iberostar’s Star Camp kids’ club.
