EasyJet holidays has launched what it claims to be the world’s first in-hotel Dad’s Club.

Dads staying at the Holiday World Polynesia in Benalmádena on the Costa del Sol from 24 August can book into the club, which easyJet holidays says ‘hopes to provide some cringe-free respite for teens and a safe space for gaffe-prone dads to connect with their kind without being judged’.

Activities during the one-hour-per-day club include dad dancing lessons, air guitar tuition and a joke workshop.

The new service comes as research among 1,000 British teenagers revealed 54% find their dads embarrassing on holiday.

Almost a quarter (24%) of teens admit to trying get out of a holiday to avoid cringe-worthy moments and 43% can’t remember a holiday without being humiliated by their dad’s behaviour.

EasyJet holidays says 44% of dads polled said they’d be interested in attending the Dad’s Club.

Comedian Omid Djalili helped launch the Dad’s Club in a video for easyJet holidays.
