Avalon Waterways is launching river cruises in Bordeaux for spring and summer 2025, which will increase its offering in France by 30%.

The new eight-day ‘Bonjour Bordeaux’ cruise will be on Avalon Artistry II and will call at Cadillac-sur-Garonne, Cussac Fort Médoc, Blaye, Bourg and Libourne.

The cruise can be combined with other itineraries to make two- or three-week cruises, such as a 15-day trip incorporating a Paris to Normandy cruise followed by the Bordeaux sailing. A longer 22-day option combines a ‘Grand France’ itinerary from Arles along with the Bordeaux cruise.
