AmaWaterways is looking to capitalise on a trend for longer sailings by creating a series of 14-night itineraries for 2025.

The new ‘Grand’ series combine two of its regular seven-night sailings into a longer back-to-back trip, with transfers between rivers where applicable.

“As the demand for more extensive travel experiences continues to rise, we are thrilled to unveil three new 14-night itineraries set to debut in 2025,” said Co-founder and Executive Vice President Kristin Karst.

“The new Grand series offer combination cruising complete with complimentary transfers between ships and the choice of up to 40 included excursions, making it even more convenient for our guests to fully immerse themselves in the history, culture and culinary delights of France, Germany and the Netherlands.”

For those reserving their staterooms on these 2025 sailings by December 31 this year an Early Booking Reward savings of up to 20% is available on selected sailings.

The Grand Seine and Bordeaux itinerary includes the chance to experience four French waterways – the Seine, Garonne and Dordogne rivers, as well as the Gironde Estuary. It combines the Paris and Normandy itinerary on AmaLyra and Taste of Bordeaux on AmaDolce. A choice of 15 departures are on offer, departing from March to October 2025. Prices start from £5,270 per person.

Alternatively, the Grand Seine and Rhône sailing mixes the Paris and Normandy trip with and Essence of Burgundy & Provence aboard AmaCello. Eleven departures area available from £4,663 per person.

Grand Rhine & Dutch Canals is a mix of the operator’s Best of Holland and Belgium, Enchanting Rhine and Captivating Rhine itineraries. The voyage journeys from Amsterdam to Basel, taking in the fairytale castles and storybook villages along the Rhine, as well as exploring the wonders of Holland and Belgium.

There are nine departure dates on offer from July to December 2025. Prices start from £4,478 per person.

Other 14-night voyages include the Grand Danube sailing between Vilshofen, Germany and Giurgiu, Romania and Magnificent Europe sailing between Amsterdam, Netherlands and Budapest, Hungary. Each can be combined with pre- or post-cruise land packages.
