Amadeus River Cruises has released details of its newest ship, Amadeus Amara, which will join the fleet in July 2025.
The cruise line said the ship has been designed to ‘remain reliably operational even in seasonally fluctuating water levels’ and adheres to high environmental standards, while also giving its 164 guests more space.
Its state-of-the-art steering system automatically adjusts to currents, water levels, ship traffic, wind speeds and wave conditions. This maximises propulsion efficiency, reduces emissions and minimises vibrations on board. Solar energy is harnessed for electricity generation, further supporting environmentally friendly operations.
Amadeus founder and Managing Director Martina Lüftner said: “The elegant interior design and indoor pool at the stern will be among the new comfort highlights. Twelve spacious suites feature walk-out balconies and cosy reading nooks, while the 70 standard cabins mostly offer drop-down panoramic windows and luxurious bathrooms.”
The maiden voyage of Amadeus Amara is scheduled for early July 2025 on the Danube.
