A-ROSA River Cruises has introduced local experts in destinations along the Rhine and Danube rivers to share their knowledge and insider tips.
The cruise line said it hopes the experts, called Destination Scouts, will help make trips more authentic and immersive.
Destination Scouts will advise A-ROSA’s onboard Excursion Expert on all the latest destination insight and local knowledge on their given city, so it can be shared with guests on board.
In addition, on specific itineraries and dates, they will also come on board and share their tips directly with the guests. Guests will be able to then use any tips gained to explore the city with the exclusive eye of a local the following day.Destination Scouts will be available on several of A-ROSA’s itineraries including Danube Classics, Romance on the Rhine and Moselle and Rhine Discovery Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
Elisabeth Weigand (pictured), who has over 30 years’ experience of working in Vienna, is one Destination Scout who will feature in A-ROSA’s Danube Classics itinerary.
Destination Scouts will also be available in the German city of Mainz, as well as Amsterdam.
