River cruise line A-ROSA has extended the end of its 2023 season and brought forward the start of the 2024 season on various ships on both the Rhine and Danube.
The 2023 season will now run until 31 January 2024, not 11 January as was previously planned.
In addition, after the fleet takes a short break, 2024 sailings will begin earlier than ever before.
On the Rhine, A-ROSA SENA’s first five-night ‘Rhine City Experience’ departure will now be three weeks earlier on 29 February, sailing to Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Utrecht.
This means four extra departure dates are now on sale prior to the original planned start date of 20 March 2024.
Additionally, A-ROSA SILVA will now set sail two weeks earlier on 2 March 2024, with four extra departures of its four-night ‘Mini Cruise Main & Lorelei’ itinerary now on sale.
On the Danube, four-night trips will now begin from 4 March 2024 and depending on the vessel and itinerary, this is up to a month earlier. For example, A-ROSA FLORA will start her four-night ‘Danube Mini Cruise Cities & Wachau’ itinerary two and a half-week earlier with four extra departures, whilst A-ROSA MIA and A-ROSA RIVA’s four-night trips will start a month earlier.
Lucia Rowe, MD at A-ROSA River Cruises UK & Ireland said: “As these shoulder-season dates are four and five nights durations, they are the perfect product to promote to short break customers who want to see more cities in one trip and fancy giving river cruising a try.”
The season in France and on the Douro will end as planned in 2023 before the ships take their annual winter break. The season on the Rhône & Saône runs until 31 October and the Douro until mid-November.
