A video showing plans for a futuristic luxury hotel up in the sky has been released.

The AI-piloted Sky Cruise, which will be powered by nuclear fusion and is designed never to land, will accommodate 5,000 guests.

Conventional airliners will carry guests and provisions to and from the Sky Cruise, which backers say will be ‘the future of transport’. Any repairs would also be carried out in the air.

Sky Cruise will have an entertainment deck with restaurants, huge shopping malls, gyms, theatres and swimming pools, as well as a separate conference and events area.

The video describes the Sky Cruise as a ‘nuclear powered hotel suspended above the clouds’, adding it would make a great wedding venue.

It was posted by animator Hashem Al-Ghaili on YouTube.
