Wizz Air carried 160% more passengers in October than in the same month last year, but year on year its traffic is still 17% down.

Almost three million passengers flew with the budget airline last month, pushing its load factor – the number of available seats sold – up to almost 80%.

During the month, Wizz announced a major expansion in Ukraine plus the opening of its seventh base in Italy at Venice Marco Polo airpot.

Today it relaunched flights between London and Tel Aviv in Israel. It will initially offer two flights a week from Luton, rising to three flights a week in December and five flights a week in April 2022.
