Windstar Cruises welcomed around 250 UK travel agents on its recently refurbished ship Star Legend last week as it sailed from Scotland down to central London.

And new Head of UK Sales Augustus Lonsdale said he was keen to host more agents onboard the Windstar fleet as it looks to significantly grow sales UK sales.

“Windstar is very committed to the UK and understands that the best way of getting people selling Windstar is getting them on the ships,” said Augustus.

“We want to make Windstar much more of a household name in the UK.”

He said his goal is to increase UK sales to account for 15% of the total for Windstar, which currently sources the majority of its clients from the US.

“Every UK agent has a Windstar client and we do believe the UK market can be bigger,” added Augustus.

The Florida-based cruise line will start sailing in the Middle East for the first time this winter, with a series of voyages on Star Legend, pictured above in central London.
