AmaWaterways Head of Commercial & Marketing Augustus Lonsdale has joined Windstar Cruises.

He will take up the newly-expanded role of Head of UK Sales.

The cruise line said the appointment reflects its ‘long-term commitment’ to this market.

It added: “He will be responsible for building and managing relationships with new and existing trade partners, gowing sales through the trave trade, both with those key agents already working loosely  directly with Windstar as well as through Windstar’s GSA at The Cruise Line, supporting the business in delivering strategy and core initiatives and increasing awareness of the brand across the UK and Ireland..

He takes up his role on 12 May and will report to Dianna Rom, VP of Sales.
