Westoe Travel owner Graeme Brett has become a star of the small screen after appearing in a new documentary that’s just been released on Amazon.

The agency, in South Shields, features in the Amazon Original series We Are Newcastle United, which started this month.

The four-part documentary, narrated by Alan Shearer, follows Newcastle on and off the pitch during the 2022-23 season.

Graeme (pictured in the documentary) said: “We were sworn to secrecy but the secret is now out.

“Earlier this year we had a camera crew in the shop at Westoe Travel, for a full day filming Newcastle United supporters booking our Rail Adventure packages, collecting train tickets and hotel bookings for the Carabao Cup Final at Wembley. 

“We are delighted that we feature in part two of the documentary.

“At first everyone was shy of the cameras but after half an hour we just carried on as normal.

“It was a very enjoyable experience and hopefully we’ll get a few more customers who see the documentary.”

Among fans who Graeme organised travel for the Wembley match was a Newcastle season ticket holder who made a booking while his wife was giving birth.

Graeme and team can be seen in episode two, called Tell me ma, me ma, (we’re going to Wembley), which came out today (18 August).
