A West Ham fan is in a critical condition in a hospital in Cyprus after he fell from a moving minibus carrying a group of six men.

The 38-year-old man reportedly sustained serious head injuries in the accident on the Paphos-Limassol highway on Tuesday (7 March).

The incident happened near the Petra tor Romiou site.

According to a police statement, shared with Mail Online, the victim was allegedly found to be in possession of 1.5 grams of cocaine.

It reads: “One of the 38-year-old passengers, who was in the back seat, appears to have opened the window of the car and sat on it, causing him to lose his balance and fall on to the road.”

At the scene, cops arrested a 33-year-old UK national for allegedly driving under the influence of drugs.

He appeared in front of the Paphos district court on Wednesday (8 March) and was remanded in custody until Friday.

West Ham face Cypriot side AEK Larnaca in the Europa Conference League on Thursday.
