EasyJet is warning passengers that flights to Italy are likely to be disrupted tomorrow due to a national strike.
It said the walk-out by airport staff across Italy will affect critical ground handling services.
“We expect that there may be delays and some disruption due to the industrial action, therefore we advise all customers to check the status of their flight on our Flight Tracker, either on our mobile app or website,,” it said.
“Although this situation is outside of our control, we would like to apologise to any affected passengers for the inconvenience caused.”
EasyJet said affected customers will be contacted via email and SMS.
Meanwhile, the Foreign Office is warning of severe flooding in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, which has led to eight deaths and forced thousands to flee from their homes.
The F1 Grand Prix, due to be hosted by Imola in Emilia-Romagna has been cancelled.
