Vertical Travel Group is promising agents will find it easier to sell villas when it relaunches its VillasforTravel.com brand next week.
Vertical CEO Peter Healey told Travel Gossip the brand was taken off sale two months ago so the company could fine-tune it.
He said: “We’ve had the brand for a while now but so far we’ve done very little with it.
“The challenge when you are selling villas is that it creates a tremendous amount of work. By the time you tell the customer about it, and they decide on a particular property, it’s gone.”
“We’ve improved our technology so searches will now only pull through villas that are available for the product range the client is interested in.
“That’s a very useful tool for agents.”
He said the improvement will enable agents to sell villas more easily, adding it will now be a simple case of: “See it. Book it. Done.”
Peter advised agents to think more about booking villas now package holidays are going up in price.
“Prices are going up so much in general, yet a four-bed villa for eight gives a very attractive lead-in price,” he said.
“I’ve just been looking a really nice villa in Tenerife that works out at £150 a head for eight people.
“It gives agents the ability to offer some very competitive pricing. Agents might have to do a bit more work but they can earn a lot more money and retain their clients.”
Peter said he’s refining the product range ahead of relaunch and said VillasforTravel will have over 1,000 bookable villas by the time it goes live, in the Canaries, Cyprus, Ibiza, Majorca and some of mainland Spain, as well as premium Florida product.
More product in other destinations will continue to be added.
The VillasforTravel brand, which will be relaunched with a new logo, will be available for Vertical Travel Group’s in-house agents as well as third-party agents who want to use it.
“We want to be the natural place to go for booking villas,” added Peter.
