Fully vaccinated UK visitors to Qatar no longer have to quarantine on arrival, the country’s Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has confirmed.
The MoPH said that, as of 7pm on 28 February, the UK has been removed from Qatar’s red travel list.
Fully vaccinated visitors from the UK must submit a negative pre-travel PCR result taken within 48 hours of departure and must register and upload documents on the pre-travel registration system www.ehteraz.gov.qa.
Documents must be uploaded at least three days before arrival and include vaccination certificates, evidence of previous COVID-19 infection. Travellers can also upload their pre-travel PCR result, although this is not mandatory.
All travellers must present the original copy of the PCR test result to the airline on which they are flying, to allow them to board the plane, or at the country’s ports (land and sea).
Travellers also need to sign an Undertaking and Acknowledgement Form before arriving in Qatar.
The form is available on the Ministry of Public Health website, pre-registration platform website www.ehteraz.gov.qa and the airline online booking form
The MoPH says travellers should also download the Ehteraz mobile application and activate it on their mobile phones using a local or international SIM card on arrival.
Check the MoPH website for further information and updates.
