Tunisian airline Nouvelair will relaunch flights between Manchester and Tunis next March after suspending the service in late summer.

The carrier said the easing of travel restrictions in the UK and Tunisia has paved the way for the reintroduction of flights in time for Easter 2022.

Nouvelair has only launched the flights in July before being suspended soon after.

The airline said it will operate a twice weekly service from Manchester on Wednesday and Sunday, starting on March 29.

Nouvelair UK Sales Agent Carl Denton said: “After being restricted to a limited programme in 2021, we are very excited to restart operations again for 2022, with an expanded operation which will provide great access for holidays, business and most importantly to allow friends and families to reconnect with Tunisia again.”

Manchester Airport Managing Director Karen Smart described it as ‘terrific news’ for the estimated 100,000 passengers in its catchment area who travel to Tunisia each year

Seats will be available on GDS and through its website with three price options.
