TUI is finalising a programme of trade giveaways as part of a raft of measures to boost peaks sales through independent agents.
TUI UK&I Chief Marketing Officer Neil Swanson said: “We want independent agents to have the best peaks sales period ever – and to help them we have been working on ways to ensure they have everything they need to sell a TUI holiday.”
In addition to the trade incentives, which will be revealed next week, and which include prizes for agents booking certain products, TUI has updated its marketing tools for independents.
All new promotions, including TUI’s TV ads now tell customers to book ‘in store’ rather than in a ‘TUI store’. TUI says it is in the process of updating all other marketing with the same call to action.
TUI has also produced a point-of-sale pack that independent agents can use, including window vinyls, pull-up banners and calendars.
Low deposits are being made available to all agents and more details will be announced soon.
Neil added: “At TUI we are predicting strong bookings in January, with the standout destination being the Balearics.
“However, Turkey, Tunisia and Bulgaria are also in the mix offering excellent value for money holidays especially when booked with a TUI booking promotion.”
TUI recently boosted its trade team with nine new members, bringing the total to 17. The sales team is now on the road, ahead of peaks.
