TUI is looking to tap into pent-up demand for holiday-starved consumers with its earliest ever release of winter product.

The operator has put its 2022 programme on sale, offering breaks in 45 destinations from 1 November 2022 to 30 April 2023.

Senegal, pictured above, is a new addition with TUI set to operate weekly flights from Gatwick to Dakar.

The operator is featuring the all-inclusive 4T RIU Baobab hotel in the west African nation, located on the beach in Pointe Sarene 100km south of Dakar.

Commercial and Business Development Director Richard Sofer said: “We know there is pent up demand for holidays and the desire to have a holiday to look forward to is more evident now than ever before.

“Many of our customers, in particular families tied to school holidays and popular dates such as Easter, and weddings and larger groups want to book as far in advance as possible to secure their holiday of choice.”

Mr Sofer said the operator was ‘excited to launch Senegal’.

“We are confident it will appeal to customers seeking value for money, great all-inclusive resorts and guaranteed sunshine as well an experience that is a little bit different,” he said.

In addition to the winter product, TUI has launched its River Cruises and Marella Cruises winter 2022 programmes.

Five itineraries have been added to the river cruise options over Christmas and new year, with three departures from the new embarkation port of Wiesbaden, while Marella Cruises has added a sailing from Barbados onboard Marella Discovery from February 2023.

The new additions to the TUI River Cruises winter programme means customers now have a choice of 11 festive itineraries over winter 2021 and winter 2022.

Five-night sailings on the Christmas voyages start from £729 and includes £85pp excursion credit, return flights, transfers, port tax and tips.
