The Foreign Office is warning travellers to Israel that rocket fire from Gaza could threaten commercial flights.
The warning from the FCDO came yesterday after Israel accused Palestinian militants of firing 460 rockets as tensions in the region escalate.
In an update to its travel advice yesterday, the FCDO said: “Rocket fire may present a collateral threat to commercial aviation, or cause disruption to scheduled services.
“You should co-operate fully with security officials at airports and observe any additional security measures.
“You should check with your airline for any updates prior to travel.”
