Travel Gossip has today launched The Travel Celebration – the newest and most exciting event in the industry calendar, featuring awards voted for by travel agents.
The inaugural Travel Celebration will take place on 28 March 2023 at BMA House, Tavistock Square, London and will include The Travel Gossip Awards, recognising industry suppliers, partners and destinations that have been voted agents’ favourites.
Travel Gossip Managing Director Bruce Martin said: “We’re excited to announce The Travel Celebration featuring The Travel Gossip Awards. It’s long been a dream of mine to add an awards event to the Travel Gossip portfolio.
“People who know Travel Gossip will know we do things a little differently and it’s the same with The Travel Celebration.
“The Travel Celebration brings a fresh approach to travel awards events. Travel is about making memories and we want to create an unforgettable evening for our guests.
“Working closely with our event partner, Journeys, we’ve created a truly memorable event, with more time to mingle, less time sitting down, more experiences to get involved in and more fun to be had.”
All awards will be voted for by travel agents, with categories including Favourite Airline, Favourite Specialist Operator, Favourite Trade Sales Team and Favourite Hidden Gem destination.
In addition, there will be a special award for Favourite Travel Gossip Legend – the individual in travel who goes the extra mile to help clinch that sale or solve an issue to keep the client happy – as well as a gong for Favourite Travel Brand.
Ten pairs of travel agent tickets are up for grabs for the event, which includes an extended welcome reception, dinner, plus after-party with food and drinks.
Plus, the lucky 10 winners will be treated to a free night’s accommodation at Hilton Euston on the night of the event, courtesy of Hilton Hotels & Resorts.
Micaela Giacobbe, Founder and Managing Director of bespoke events company Journeys, which has worked with Bruce on The Travel Celebration, said: “Journeys is excited to be involved with The Travel Celebration from the very start and we’ve worked closely with Bruce to design an exciting experience that we’re sure will quickly become a not-to-be-missed event in the travel industry calendar.

Travel brands that have already signed up as sponsors include Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Hotels, Virgin Voyages, Avis, Jet2holidays, Hilton and Travelpack.
Nominations are now open for the first round and finalists will be announced in early December. After that, they’ll go through to the next voting round and agents will then be invited to vote in each finalist category and the winners will be announced at The Travel Celebration.
