Only 5% of UK consumers believe that travel companies are keeping up with their personal values and beliefs, according to a YouGov poll.

Airlines fared even worse in the survey, with only 2% of those who responded stating that they are aligned with their beliefs.

The global survey covered 10 industries in 18 countries.

Best performing brands in the UK were in the food and beverage business, which scored 10% overall, while the aviation and car industries were the joint worst.

Clothing companies performed only slightly better than travel, with 6% of respondents saying they aligned with their values.

However, in the UAE nearly a third of consumers said airline companies were successful, and in Spain,travel companies scored a relatively high 15%.
