Ayrshire-based Thorne Travel will open its new Prestwick store in the first week of January.

The revamped shop on Main Street, which was previously a Boots chemist, will have a soft opening on 3 January and a grand opening on 4 January, with giveaways and appearances by ‘locally-known celebrities’.

The new store will be managed by John Ferguson, Thorne Travel’s Cruise Director. 

Thorne Travel owner and Chief Executive Shona Thorne said: “This is our first major event since our Cruise Director, John Ferguson and our Retail Director, Christiane McCorgray became formal shareholders in the Thorne Travel Group. 

“John and Christiane are incredibly passionate about travel and will provide energetic leadership as the company continues to expand.”
