The Personal Travel Agents has launched a river cruise toolkit to boost sales after identifying the sector as ‘an area of significant untapped potential’.
Created by Business Development Manager Claire Willoughby, the toolkit includes reasons to sell river cruises, how to generate interest, product details, supplier contact and how to access training and fam trips.
Available on the PTA central SharePoint platform, it also includes information about cruise organisation CLIA, which members are encouraged to join.
“We’re extremely proud of the toolkit, which has received high praise from the independent homeworkers as well as the river cruise partners we have demonstrated it to,” said Head of the Personal Travel Agents Sheena Whittle (above).
“We also have a group of 24 agents we are accompanying to the CLIA Riverview conference in March 2024, which we’re confident will further boost sales and product knowledge for the independent homeworkers in this area.
“We really think heading into 2024 we will be seeing further success and river cruise sales will continue to build.”
