Travellers to Thailand will be able to enter test-free from 1 May as long as they’re fully vaccinated.

They’ll no longer have to take a test on arrival and the requirement to take a day 5 test will also be ditched from 1 May.

They must still register for a Thailand Pass, upload proof of their vaccination and take out insurance with at least $10,000 medical cover.

Unvaccinated travellers will be allowed to enter quarantine-free with a negative PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before travel, using the Thailand Pass scheme.

Without a negative PCR test, unvaccinated travellers must quarantine for five days and take a PCR test on day 5.

The changes have been announced by Thailand’s Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration.
