SunExpress has added Bristol to its route network for summer 2023.

The planned expansion will see the leisure airline – a joint venture of Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines – offer three flights a week between 26 March and 27 October next year to Antalya.

The announcement comes a week after the carrier revealed plans to add Newcastle Airport to its network.

SunExpress currently offers direct flights from Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, and Luton to the Turkish resorts and cities of Antalya, Dalaman, Izmir, Ankara, and Gaziantep.

Sun Express CEO Max Kownatzki said: “We expect the strong travel demand from the UK to Turkey to continue in the upcoming period.

“We’re looking forward to introducing our new routes to and from Newcastle and Bristol next year to further expand our footprint in the United Kingdom.”
