Flights to Tunisia have been cancelled due to a national public strike by the Tunisian General Labour Union.

The strike is likely to affect Nouvelair’s flights on Thursday between Tunis and London Gatwick, plus indirect flights to and from Tunisia.

The union said the 24-hour strike will last until midnight.

Cruises will also be prevented from arriving and departing.

The UK Foreign Office said: “Air traffic will be suspended. Check with your airline: flights could be diverted, delayed or cancelled.”
