Meanwhile, SPL Villas says is plans to expand next year and is interested in hearing from former James Villas team members.
Managing Director Edward Frampton-Fell, who previously worked for James Villas, said: “I was personally saddened to hear the news about the closure of the James Villas brand earlier this week.
“I have very fond memories of my time there and the team with which I worked. It is a particular shame as our data shows that demand for villa and short stay rentals is strengthening – something that was reinforced by ABTA’s Holiday Habits report published this week which showed that the number of people renting a house on holiday rose to 12% last year.
“We’re responding to that with some significant, trade-friendly, strategic enhancements to our offering which we will announce soon, and would be very happy to hear from anyone was on the James Villas team – particularly those from customer operations roles – who’d like to be a part of what we expect to be a busy 2024.”
